Palette Diary ("the app") lets you record each day as a watercolor painting. We built it so that your diary stays on your device. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Your paintings, emotion tags, and notes are stored only in a local database on your device. The app has no account or login, and we do not run a server that receives your diary. We cannot see, collect, or share your diary content.
Your operating system may include the app's data in your device backup (iCloud Backup on iOS, Google backup on Android), depending on your device settings. Those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.
When you choose Settings › Export Backup, the app creates a file with your diary and opens the system share sheet. The file goes only where you choose to send or save it. The app does not upload it anywhere.
If you send feedback from the app, your mail app opens with a draft that includes the app version and your operating system version. We receive only what you send: your email address and message. We use it only to reply to you and improve the app.
The app shows a banner ad on the Calendar screen using Google AdMob. Google may collect information such as device advertising identifiers, IP address, and ad interactions to show and measure ads. On iOS, the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking. In regions where consent is required, you can choose or change ad personalization at any time. Your diary content is never shared with Google or any ad network. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
You can delete all diary data at any time in Settings › Delete All Data, or by uninstalling the app. Because we do not hold a copy, deleted data cannot be recovered unless you exported a backup.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
